B2B PR Account Manager – Senior Account Manager

This highly regarded award winning B2B integrated agency is on the lookout for a PR Account Manager – Senior Account Manager, ideally being fluent in one or more foreign languages (this skills is not essential just desirable).

 

The role will involve working on a mix of international and UK based clients covering food, nutrition, packaging, industrial, technology, engineering, environmental, construction, science and publishing.

 

My client is looking to meet candidates from a B2B PR background with an ability to work on and manage complex client accounts and deliver the required results. With an international reach, language skills are beneficial but not essential. Exceptional writing and client servicing skills are essential, as is the passion for all things B2B.

The role will involve working in a busy marketing agency undertaking responsibilities such as

 

 

Account handling skills

  • Demonstrate advance writing (releases, features, proposals, etc), reporting and presentation skills.
  • Development of new opportunities on existing business, and new business as nominated. Preparation of proposals.
  • Travel to attend client meetings/exhibitions as required; amount of travel will depend on client portfolio.
  • Plan, organise and control day-to-day work on a number of client accounts.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients to ensure work is progressing satisfactorily and opportunities are being seized. Involve senior management as appropriate.
  • Understand client objectives; evaluate strategically on a weekly and monthly basis; evaluate tactically on a daily basis. ▪ Develop and broaden client relationships.
  • Develop and broaden press relationships.
  • Account planning Identify and agree client business objectives and resulting communications strategy.
  • Develop objectives to meet this strategy.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business and market.
  • Programme implementation
  • Manage and take responsibility for the agreed client programme.
  • Maintain regular client contact; anticipate potential problem areas, devise solutions and communicate to client.
  • Focus on adding value through evaluation of activities.
  • Lead account teams to ensure client objectives are met through the development, implementation and review process.
  • Aim continuously for best practice to assist in meeting client programme objectives with optimum use of time and value delivered.
  • Develop and broaden client relationships to a level where the client has a clear respect for the value of your opinion, and that of your team.
  • Take responsibility for personal development.

 

International

  • Use relevant language(s) – both written and spoken – on a regular basis in a business context.
  • Travel to attend client meetings/exhibitions as required; amount of travel will depend on client portfolio.
