My client is an award-winning B2B marketing and communications agency based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire who are looking for a confident, proactive and strategically minded PR Account Manager who is comfortable managing and copywriting for a portfolio of client accounts across print, packaging, food & drink, distribution, specialty chemicals and electronics.

You will be responsible for overseeing client interaction, managing relationships and client needs, ensuring on-time deliverables and evaluating return on investment.

Remote working options are available though some office time is essential. This can take place at either of their locations in Pontefract or Wrexham, so could be suitable for prospective applicants across Yorkshire and the North-West.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts
• Building relationships with existing and new clients
• Contributing to, and developing, client marketing plans, strategies and multichannel campaigns
• Developing industry, sector and product focused marketing campaigns
• Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services
• Contributing to client team meetings, and liaising and updating team members on PR activities / company updates
• Technical copywriting – Feature / thought leadership / whitepapers / opinion pieces
• Creative storytelling and content development
• Copywriting for websites, blogs, press releases and eblast content
• Repurposing of original PR content for digital tools
• Production of marketing materials – including flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters
• Analysing PR coverage and account performance and providing written reports
• Building relationships and maintaining a network of key media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople

Essential Requirements
• Min three years’ experience with account management and campaign delivery in a B2B environment
• Min five years’ copywriting experience in a client facing environment (in-house or agency background)
• High levels of communication – both presentation, verbal and written skills
• Strong B2B copywriting and marketing mastery
• The ability to digest complex information and produce succinct and compelling marketing plans for B2B audiences
• Versatility: the ability to write in different styles to fit the clients’ audience and to create different types of written content, including long-form articles, blogs, case studies, whitepapers, website, press releases, emails and social media
• Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
• Commercially aware and business savvy
• Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks
• Good research and analytical skills to gain an accurate understanding of account performance and the ability to translate this into actionable tasks to make improvements
• Outstanding organisation and capable of managing multiple client accounts and projects
• Service focused and sensitive to confidential information
• Proactive with strong planning and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines without handholding
• Strong media relations skills
• Minimum three A-Levels
• Confident in Microsoft Office Packages – Powerpoint, Word, Excel
• Full clean driving licence
