My client is a prestigious Manchester agency who is looking to staff up in their consumer PR team! They are looking to appoint a Consumer PR & Content Senior Account Executive – to work on a mix of sports & fitness, food and drink, retail and lifestyle clients.
One of the roles will focus on consumer retail clients and the other role will focus on consumer sports clients.
- A determination to drive campaigns, smash targets and deliver bespoke and accurate evaluations that show real business benefit
- Proactive involvement with client handling
- Understanding the media agenda and keeping up-to-date with the media landscape
- Proactively spotting client opportunities in the media
- Selling in stories/ideas to media and growing a network of contacts
- Taking responsibility for completing tasks within deadlines
- Evaluating results across all clients and working with account managers to produce thorough review documents
- Playing an active role in the communications industry, including building a knowledge base of key competitors and developing a network of peers
- Keeping abreast of industry/ client developments to keep knowledge current
- The ability to manage social media channels for clients and create effective digital content that generates widespread engagement/sharing
- A passion for consumer clients and media

- In depth understanding of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, blogs)
- Confidence when it comes to social media management – reacting to topical conversations on behalf of brands, and starting new ones
- Experience in producing a variety of different types of content that gets heaps of views/engagement (for your own personal channel/brand)
- An understanding of influencer engagement and content aggregation
- A thorough understanding of all types of media/stakeholder touchpoints and how to integrate and target them
- Someone who will immerse themselves in our clients’ brands and markets
- The ability to work on new business and help develop strong presentations
- Ability to work flexibly, reflecting the changing needs of the industry
- Understanding of traditional media relations and formats desirable, but not essential
- A strong team player with great communication skills
