Aquatic sports and environment company, based in West Cheshire, is looking for a Digital Comms Officer to join their marketing team, working predominantly on social media and blog/article writing.

Reporting into the Marketing Manager, it will be your job to ensure that the good work the company is doing is communicated both to their existing community but also to the wider world. This role is an autonomous one, so you must be someone who is used to working alone and managing your own projects from start to finish. It’s a busy marketing department, so you will take ownership of all the comms projects, collaborating with the web and marketing officers, where needed.

This role can be based on-site (near Chester) or remotely, working from home, although please understand that you will be required to travel to Chester for meetings (normally once per week). 4-day week candidates will be considered, although the preference is full-time.

To be considered for this role, you will have at least 5 years’ experience of marketing communications, with specific experience in digital comms. You will be a social media whiz, understanding the nuances between each platform and how best each is used. You will be a superb writer, able to capture an audience and engage with a variety of people. You will be able to think strategically about messaging and how to engage both with the company’s existing community and prospective customers/members. Any understanding of other digital marketing principles (search marketing, email marketing and web/CMS) would be beneficial, although these disciplines are all managed by another member of the team.
