We are handling an exciting opportunity with new start up PR and Public Affairs consultancy with office space in Manchester but the role has the flexibility of working from home.

Established a year ago by a leading PR and Public Affairs figure my client offers clients PR, planning communications, public affairs, digital and social media and branding and design services to clients within property, regeneration and energy.

Having had a great first year in business, the business is now ready to build its team of PR and Public Affairs. As the first person to join the team, this role will offer a fantastic opportunity to join at the beginning of the of the company’s growth, so therefore will offer excellent career opportunities and also the ability to assist in the creating company’s DNA. The vision is to always keep the clients at the heart of everything they do, to date all clients have come through word of mouth, which is clearly a testament to the company ethos.

In terms of the experience and skills you will need to have a background in one or more of the following sectors: property, energy and/or waste.

Skills will depend on level, but they are looking for someone with solid copy/content writing skills, who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into work at all levels (whilst the team grows) e.g. from strategy development to media calls and press release writing. In addition, you will need to be a self-starter with a dynamic, commercial and client relationship driven personality.

Candidates with both public affairs and/or PR skills will be considered, although the likelihood is for this position the person will come from a PR background, due to the founder having a Public Affairs background, so they are able to pick up this side of the business. Business development aptitude is beneficial but this role will be a ‘doing’ role rather than business development role.

The role will be based working from home with access to office and hot desking space in Manchester.
