This growing and well respected Manchester PR agency is looking to appoint a new PR AM/SAM to join their lively, dynamic and friendly team.
Clients will include retail, property, FMCG, fashion, food, live events, lifestyle, toys and games.
Responsibilities will include:
- Client account management
- Managing junior members of the team
- Liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media, often via telephone and email
- Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media
- Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs, for opportunities for clients
- Working as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement the PR activity
- Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
- Promoting news stories and features to the media, known as ‘selling in’
- Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage
- Event management, including press conferences and promotional events
- Attending and promoting client events to the media
- Assisting with the production of client publications, such as in-house magazines; commissioning market research
- Coordinating studio or location photography
- Undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients
- Becoming the key client contact on a number of smaller fee accounts
- Understanding and managing budgets set, ensuring best value for client company
- Ability to work to and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage own time and understand service levels
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant industry qualification
- PR Agency experience
- Interpersonal skills, plus good presentation skills and confidence
- Excellent written communication skills
- Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure
- Good teamwork and negotiation skills
- Ability to think strategically along with good analytical skills
- Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work on more than one project at a time
- Creativity and imagination
