My client is a multidisciplinary contractor that delivers innovative engineering solutions across the civil engineering and construction sectors.


They are currently looking for a Corporate Communications Executive to join their Communications team.


This role involves the provision of communications support as part of the corporate communications team.  The role holder will focus much of their time on internal communications and informative, behavioural, cultural or engagement campaigns. However, this is a broad role, that will also involve external communications, design, brand and events, and activities across the full communications and marketing mix.


The role will be based in Preston (hybrid model of 2 days working from home and 3 days working in the office), but with travel to other offices and sites across the UK from time to time.


Key accountabilities:



  • Support and project manage the planning and delivery of internal campaigns, such as safety, cultural, behavioural
  • Produce written content for group intranet
  • Assist with development and production of internal newsletter
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of internal events, briefings and presentations

  • Ensure all materials are consistent and correct against the brand guidelines


Required qualifications / expertise:


Educated to degree level – ideally in a related discipline, such as marketing, communications, media, journalism, or an equivalent related qualification.


Key competencies required:



  • Excellent written English (grammar, spelling and punctuation).
  • IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in working in a communications or marketing department
  • Experience of working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / InDesign)
  • Experience with online content management systems.
